A few tips for those traveling to Greece this year on a U.S. passport.

 

A Passport required.

DOCUMENT VALIDITY:

Passports and other documents accepted for entry must be valid for a minimum of 90 days beyond your departure date from Greece. For example: If you departure date is June 5, 2024 and the expiration date of your passport must be after September 5, 2024.

 

WARNING: Passports and/or passport replacing documents issued more than 10 years prior to date of entry are not accepted.

 

VISA:

Visa required.

 

VISA EXEMPTIONS:

• Nationals of USA with a normal passport for a maximum stay of 90 days.

• The maximum stay is granted within 180 days.

 

WARNING:

Visitors not holding return/onward tickets could be refused entry.

Health vaccinations not required.

 

RECOMMENDED:

Malaria prophylaxis. malaria risk, exclusively due to P vivax, may exist from May to October in certain high-risk agricultural areas. Recommended prevention in high-risk agriculture area.
